"The most basic of all human needs is the need to understand and be understood. The best way to understand people is to listen to them." (R Nichols)

Listening to our students underpins all effective relationships with them. We feel that the student-tutor relationship is key to success and we work with each student as an individual.

  • We believe that the most important part of our job is to listen to our students.

  • We believe that learning belongs to the student and that our role is to empower each student to achieve their own goals.

  • We believe that our job is to increase learners' confidence in their own ability.

  • We bring our teaching and examining experience as well as subject knowledge to support and enhance learners' knowledge of syllabus content and understanding of assessment.

  • We highlight and re-inforce links between subjects.

We work alongside students of all ages, helping them to develop confidence and enthusiasm for learning and in choosing the path that is right for them.  Our students may be educated within a school or college and want support with a particular subject or progression path; or they may be home-educated, simply enjoying life and learning or requiring support through a particular syllabus as they work towards exams.
